Fall Dress

You know I love to embellish. So I took this simple dress and add 3 ruffles and a belt. It could be worn with jeans, leggings, over a long sleeve T , or just by its self. Pretty cute!
I need a model to try this dress on. Cambryn was to big, so I only had one other option at my house. With a little convincing and bribing to stop making faces I got a pic and fitting. . . but I will spare him the embarrassment and just scrapbook the pic later :)

Cinnamon Sticks Boutique

Love this bangle!

I found this boutique during the Nie Nie silent auction. I already bought a super cute bracelet from her for Cambryn (check me out early Christmas shopping).
She is having a giveaway right now that you don't want to miss! A custom bangle.

So Sweet

If I had a little daughter (not one Cambryn's age ) this is what she would be wearing right now. Good thing I have good friends with kids I like to spoil :) I love this new line from Sandi Henderson. I have all sorts of ideas for this line. This is my first creation from it. I am getting so addicted to shirring.

For Jodi

When Jodi told me what she wanted as her baby present for Baby Nicholas I knew it had to be something that was totally her. Nascar it is. Hello she has a Nascar crock pot. Seriously! So her is her Nascar Wipee and Diaper case and her Paci Clip. I have lots of Nascar fabric left. So Jodi will be getting some cute Burp Rags to match her case!

I am in the process of ordering the cutest clips for Paci's. I will post them when I get them in.

Costco Inspirations

While Kiki was in town we went to Costco. There was a table set up that was featuring Swarovski Jewelry. I seriously could not believe how much they were selling the jewelry for. Kiki and I saw these cute stretchy cluster rings. Hello the were $50. I had most of the stuff at home to make them. So we went to a local bead store got a few extra things and Wa La.

Kiki's was olive swarovski's and green pearls. She is supposed to be sending me a picture of hers when I get it I will post it.

SURPRISE SURPRISE

Cambryn wanted one too. Instead of using daisy spacers all around I just used 3mm round beads. So after she took 20min to decide which colors to use this is what we cam up with.

I am in love

I love this dress. I think I have found a new present to give. I am working on different variations of this dress. I also made a little flower clip to match. So stay tuned to see what dress I come up with next. By the way it was ironed before she wore it all day . Oops

For Julie

First of all Julie's triplets are about the cutest things ever. Two boys and one girl. I was really excited to get her crib sets done and sent to her. I had fallen in love with this fabulous bedding while sewing it.

When I was almost done my sewing machine decided to go on the fritz. I sat in my craft room crying for an hour as I tried to fix "my baby." I was dreading my old sewing machine. It really is a beast when doing heavy duty sewing.

I admitted defeat decided to take my machine to Strawberry Patches to get fixed and pulled out my old machine, which I am glad I still had. Can I tell you how glad I was I still had it to use.

I LOVE STRAWBERRY PATCHES. So I bring my machine in. One of the lady's there sat with me and my machine for a good 1/2 hr to try and figure out what was wrong with it. She decided it wasn't something she could do so I would have to wait 2 weeks before the repair man came back to Bakersfield to fix it. That is right 2 weeks.

Then she said we are going to send home a sewing machine with you so you can get your projects finished. WOW who does that. I seriously almost cried. How nice are they!!!!!!! Not just that, they sent me home with an amazing sewing machine. They are pretty much AMAZING

My pictures really do not do justice for crib sets. So Julie I fully expect pictures when they are all set up in your nursery.

The Boys

And Girl

For Andra

I love how these cute little outfits turned out. I had a great idea suggested to me to tea stain white tanks so they would match perfectly with the cream in the skirts. Tea staining is really easy and I love the finished vintage look. I had done it before on fabric for curtains but not on clothes. Of course when I finished Cambryn asked me when does she get hers.

Andra I am so glad you like them I can't wait to see pictures!

The Busy Bug

You might think that because I haven't posted anything that I haven't done any projects. Sooooo not the case. Although the 2 weeks I had my nephew I didn't get much done. 2 one yr olds are exhausting, but so much fun I was super sad to see him go. Well here are a few things I have done recently.

Some of my Favorites

I love these. I seriously can't get enough of these 2 pocket diaper & wipee pouches. Well let's be honest anything I can bling up I love! Since they are really for the mom and not the baby (haha) it is okay to add a few rhinestones. . .right?

Leigh this is the fabric they sent me instead of the one you ordered. . . you sure you don't want your little boy's crib set out of blue, green and brown flowers? J/K

My New Baby

I have a new baby.

I seriously love it! As much as you can love a machine. I am so grateful to have this sewing machine. I still can't believe I have it. I am so much more excited about sewing. It is fun again. I feel so blessed to have an amazing sewing machine to create with. Although the sewing machine is a little overwhelming to me. Even the bobbin is different then what I am used to. It has a little spring thing off it. I need to take a class. It does all sorts of things that I never thought to do or know how to do. I can't wait to learn all about it. It came with a manual that is seriously a novel!!! So wish me luck on learning how to use this baby. :) Of course I will show you all the cool things I make with it.

One more skirt

So Cambryn and I went a little crazy at the fabric store. But little girls are so fun. The best is she really has great taste. We had a hard time picking out material for just one skirt. I had been to the store earlier that day I couldn't decide. I thought I would bring her later that day to pick out her own. She went straight for the ones I had picked out earlier without me telling her and then picked out one more. I didn't want to stifle her creativity so of course I got all of them. But seriously they take me less then an hour to make and only cost $8 . I got tanks from Wal Mart for $3 and used the scraps to make yo-yo flowers for embellishments. If I get ambitious I might make a matching hair clip.

Rigdon's 1yr Announcement

I have no time to do my scrap booking. I have been reading :) But I did put my skills to use and made Rigdon his Birthday announcement. I also used a picture from his 9mo pictures. It was to hard to not use one of Skye's pictures.

Some Amy for me too!

Since I made one for my sister I had to make one for me too. At least this time I didn't use the exact same fabric ;) I bought this fabric a loooong time ago hoping to make myself a bag. A year later I finally made it. These bags are simple but fun and they are reversible too. Which is awesome.

Skye's Crib Set

Here is another picture that I took of Skye's crib set before I gave it to her. The stripped material to the left with the ric rac and fabric on the bottom is the skirt. Each bumper has a floral design side and a polka dot side. I made 2 sheets one with the ric rac and pink flowers on the bottom and paisley type print on the top. the other one out of minky. There is a blanket one side out of the matching minky. I think that is it :) Like I said my pics just don't do it justice.

Crib Sets

I am amazed at all your emails and responses. THANKS!!! If you would like to see more pictures of crib sets I have done and would like prices please Email me.

FYI-- my pictures do not compare to Skye's she makes everything look amazing!

Cute Ruffled Skirt

I am always looking for cute outfits that my kids can play it. Clothes that look decent but don't cost a ton. I don't want my kids to look like raga-muffins :) I found this ruffled skirt tutorial on Grand Revival Designs. I used some scraps that I thought Cambryn would wear and wha la. It look me all of 30-45 min to complete. So Easy. I am all about instant gratification. I then went to walmart spent $4 on a shirt made a flower out of the same fabric and put some swarovski crystals on it --Cute outfit she can play in for under $10.

Today I took Cambryn to the store and let her pick out some fabric to make 3 more skirts. I think we will find some plain tanks and decorate the fronts to match. I love Girls.

Rigdon's Birthday

I made a killer hat for my nephew Caden. I seem to always do things for everyone else and then I give up on my own kids. As Rigdon's first Birthday approached I started to stress. He at least had to have a cute hat. So with some Etsy inspiration and internet surfing as my inspiration and my sister telling me to get with it -this is what I came up with. I just used some scraps and dug through my very large ( you have no idea) drawer of ribbons and this is what I came up with. His cake was sooo lop sided-- but I figured there was no sense spending tons of time on it since we would demolish it in seconds. To bad he wanted nothing to do with it!!!
